The Vignobles & Découvertes label aims to provide quality services and visits catering to wine tourism. The label appeals to a customer base that appreciates the world of wine without necessarily being connoisseurs, and offers a range of quality services: accommodation, cultural sites, leisure activities, cellar tours, restaurants, exploration of natural spaces, events and more.
The “Vignoble de Cognac” destination is located to the north of the Aquitaine basin, bordering the Atlantic ocean. To the west, it is bounded by the banks of the Gironde and the îles de Ré and d’Oléron, and to the east beyond Angoulême. The River Charente passes through the region. The production area covers Charente-Maritime, a large part of Charente, and a few districts in the Dordogne and Deux-Sèvres. The “Vignoble de Cognac” destination offers a rich selection of 61 partner producers and houses and 36 accommodation options, along with a choice of 12 restaurants serving traditional cuisine as well as set menus suggesting wine pairings. Visitors will be welcomed by tourist offices in the wine region or by a choice of five partner tourist centres. Visitors will be able to discover key heritage sites and enjoy a number of activities linked to Cognac available in several languages, and events that highlight the region and its local savoir-faire.
